We came out of a height of 1475 m. on the level of the sea, to cross a plateau, following a tributary of the river, which at this point is dry or only with a stream of water. 13 km away. We find the Ziz, already with a constant flow.
We reach Er Rich, the main town in this area, a meeting point for nomads and neighboring villages. An important commercial area with a weekly and colorful weekly market (Mondays) to supply families for the rest of the week.
We continue along the plain, going through several villages where the basis of the economy is the cultivation of olive groves and the care of cows.
We reach the Hammat, thermal water station with sulfate and magnesium, gateway to the gorges, where we will cross the river by several points. Here we will begin to find date palm trees, which, due to the cold weather, do not bear fruit or too much.
We will take this place to make the picnic.
